CO2 liquefaction: 100% CO2 capture to prevent atmospheric emissions
The concept involves capturing CO2 during the Biogas upgrading process before liquefying it and storing it so that it can then be used in various different industries.
Plants capture CO2
from the atmosphere for their growth
Methanization of Biogas
Biogas produced from the methanization of organic waste (including plants) contains CO2...
Upgrading of Biogas to Biomethane
... CO2 is separated from CH4 (Biomethane) during Biogas upgrading...
Liquefaction of CO2
...to be captured and liquefied, before being transported to CO2 user sites...
Application of CO2
... Such as food industry, chemical industry, production of dry ice...
CO2 liquefaction - a solution developed by PRODEVAL
CO2 in gas form is cooled using a plate heat exchanger until it becomes a liquid. This liquid CO2 is then collected in a tank as it exits the exchanger. At this point, further distillation of the CO2 is possible in order to produce food grade CO2.
