Polish Biomethane Day: Insights and innovations from Dobruška's advanced facilities

On Tuesday, 27th of November the Polish Biomethane Organization had the pleasure of participating in specialized workshop organized in collaboration with PRODEVAL.

 

The event was organized for Polish customers in the Czech Republic. The event offered a unique combination of theoretical insights and practical demonstrations of biomethane technology, held at one of the most advanced facilities in the Czech Republic — biomethane plant in Dobruška.

The comprehensive program featured a guided tour of the biomethane installation, providing participants with a detailed overview of PRODEVAL's state-of-the-art technology. Milan Popilka, Project Manager, presented the technology, followed by a guided tour. After the tour, participants headed to the hotel for a series of presentations. The company Prodeval was introduced to Polish customers by Martin Vrtiška (Managing director of Prodeval CE). Michal Tarka (chairman of PBO) introduced economic models and financial mechanisms available to support biomethane production in Poland. The day concluded with a joint dinner, accompanied by discussions on biomethane technology and gas grid connection issues, financial support mechanisms, certifications (represented by the company URS - https://www.urs-polska.pl/) and project opportunities in Poland.


The Polish delegation actively engaged in discussions about the future of biomethane in Poland and Europe, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration and innovation in achieving renewable energy goals.

The Polish Biomethane Organization (PBO) was established on September 6, 2022, bringing together industry experts and representatives of leading fuel, energy, and heating groups operating in the domestic market.
